Bob is a retired Army colonel with 30 years of commissioned service including 22 years of active duty. He holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Education in Counseling, both from the University of Missouri. Bob has personal experience with alcohol use disorder and has maintained continuous sobriety since March 10, 2019. He created Hero's Journey Retreats for people who desire sober and healthy alternatives to traditional holiday activities. Bob writes poetry, prose fiction and memoir and has had several pieces published in Denver area periodicals.
Deb holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Music and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Willamette University. She began her journey of recovery on August 18, 2003 and is grateful for nearly 20 years of continuous sobriety from alcoholism. Deb began teaching mindfulness practices and meditation in December 2005 and has developed a passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine, especially Medical Qigong and diagnostic face reading. In 2023, Deb will be pursuing her Medical Qigong Practitioner Certification. Her area of concentration is in addictions and PTSD therapy and healing. She is also writing a book entitled, The Twelve Steps and the Art of Mindfulness Living.
Saoirse worked in public schools as a school psychologist for 27 years. More recently, she served on City Council in Golden for two terms. Currently, she volunteers on the city’s budget advisory committee and at her church in a variety of leadership roles. Saoirse’s favorite pursuits include walking alongside others in their spiritual journey, writing poetry and prose, facilitating circles of people gathering to engage in deep listening/sharing, and playing with the visual arts. Adam is the CEO/Executive Clinical Director of the newly founded Untethered Recovery located in Arvada Colorado, a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the state of Colorado, and PhD candidate at Grand Canyon University studying Psychology with emphasis in Cognition and Instruction. He holds a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University, Master of Arts in Ministry from American Christian College and Seminary, and a Bachelor of Theology from Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver. Adam worked as a minister in southern California for 12 years, spent 13 years in the B2B advertising sales, and has over 5 years of sobriety from alcohol use disorder.
